The Mayor of the town, or the person normally acting in his or her place during his or her absence, shall, when the situation requires that he or she declare that a state of emergency exists as contemplated by G.S. § 160A-288, use the following form:

WHEREAS, G.S. § 160A-288, authorizes the Mayor of every political subdivision in North Carolina to declare the existence of an emergency justifying the rendering of law enforcement assistance to that political subdivision as contemplated by G.S. § 160A-288,

NOW THEREFORE I, (Mayor) of the Town of Edenton, North Carolina, do hereby proclaim that a state of emergency exists within the Town of Edenton, North Carolina. |
