§ 114.35 SUSPENSION OF PERMIT.
   (A)   The Town Council may suspend a taxicab driver’s permit for such time as it may deem proper for any of the following reasons:
      (1)   Any grounds sufficient for a revocation of the permit;
      (2)   The licensee is found to have made a false statement in his or her application for driver’s permit;
      (3)   The licensee is found to have in his or her possession or custody any quantity of intoxicating liquor within his or her cab or on his or her person while on duty as a taxicab driver; or
      (4)   The licensee has violated any provision of this chapter.
   (B)   Before any suspension of any driver’s permit shall be ordered by the Town Council, the person whose driver’s permit is sought to be suspended shall be given five days’ written notice by the Mayor of the time and place of hearing before the Town Council, at which hearing the holder of the driver’s permit shall be given an opportunity to show cause why the permit should not be suspended, to present evidence pertinent to the question before the Town Council and to be represented by counsel.
