(a) Charges are to be made for the use of ambulance and emergency medical services rendered by the City of Eaton Emergency Squad as follows:
(1) Non-Removals:
Nonresidents:
Per Non-Removal $250.00
Residents:
Per Non-Removal Waived in full
(2) Removals:
Nonresidents: The charge for non-residents for removals shall be billed at the usual, reasonable and customary rate for the region, as established by the insurance industry for the service provided, and may not be less than the allowable Medicare rate.
Residents: The charge for residents for removal shall be billed at the usual, reasonable and customary rate for the region, as established by the insurance industry for the service provided. Any portion of the charge not paid by the resident’s insurance shall be waived.
(b) “Resident” shall mean any person who occupies a dwelling unit within the City’s corporate limits and who has a present intent to remain within the City for a period of time.
(c) Council shall review these charges eighteen months from the date of enactment.
