1333.03 PLACEMENT OF EARLY FIRE WARNING SYSTEMS.
   Such fire warning devices shall be mounted on the ceiling or wall not more than twelve inches from the ceiling, at a point centrally located in a corridor or area giving access to rooms used for sleeping purposes and shall be clearly audible in such rooms when all intervening doors are closed. Where sleeping rooms are upstairs, the detector shall be placed at the center of the ceiling directly above the stairway. In buildings having a basement or cellar, an additional smoke detector shall be required and located in such basement or cellar.
