Awnings and marquees shall be supported entirely from the building. A canopy shall be supported entirely from the building or by means of posts, columns or other members which do not rest or project over public property. The manner of attachment to the building and the sizes and types of supporting members, bolts and screws shall be subject to approval by the Building Official.
