931.09 COLLECTION CHARGES.

   (a)    Charges for collection of refuse by the City under the provisions of this chapter shall be as follows:

      (1)    The monthly charge for each residential unit shall be $24.71.

      (2)   A residential unit shall consist of one or more persons living together as a family unit. Each apartment shall be considered as a separate residential unit.

   (b)   Refuse collection charges for residential units outside the corporate limits of the City shall be fifty percent (50%) more than the rates established in subsection (a) hereof. Such refuse collection outside the corporate limits of the City shall be performed by the City only if the collection site on the owner’s property is on an existing City refuse collection street route, and only if the property is currently billed for City water service and/or sanitary sewer service.

   (c)   Nothing in this section shall be construed as requiring refuse collection and disposal by the City.
