The salary of the members of the first Council elected under this Charter shall be at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) for each regular meeting attended, not to exceed twelve (12) meetings per year. Thereafter, the Council may fix the compensation of its own members and determine the number of compensated meetings. Such action shall be by ordinance only. No change in salary shall ever take effect unless enacted by Council prior to 120 days before election to office.
