Each driveway permitted under this chapter shall be of a grade and width, not exceeding thirty feet at the lot line and sidewalk, which is in accordance with driveway plans and specifications on file in the office of the Director of Service. The construction of such driveways shall also be in accordance with these plans and specifications. The location of each driveway shall be as the City Manager, in his discretion, finds proper after making an investigation using the standards specified in Section 907.04.
In all subdivisions, whether major or minor, platted after the effective date of this section (Ordinance 72-3, passed February 1, 1972), all driveways entering a major thoroughfare shall be provided with a motor vehicular turn-around area sufficient to eliminate the necessity of backing onto such major thoroughfare from such driveway.
