1224.50   PARKS AND RECREATIONAL LAND.
   (a)   It is the intent of this section to encourage park reservation in a subdivision. In subdivisions under 50 lots or units of housing, park reservation will not be required as a necessity for final approval; however, if a recreational area is provided in a subdivision the Planning Commission reserves the right to waive minimum lot requirements providing the amount of land reserved equals the square footage of land taken from the individual lots. In any case, no park land should be less than one acre in size.
   (b)   In subdivisions over 50 lots or units of housing, there should be at least a one and one-half acre site reserved for recreational use and for each additional 25 lots or units of housing another one-half acre should be reserved.
