Permits required by Section 840.02 shall be issued only upon payment in advance to the Manager, for credit to the General Fund of the City, of the appropriate permit fee therefor in accordance with the following schedule:
(a) For each motion picture show, for each twelve months of operation $10.00.

(b) For each circus, for each twenty-four hour day during which the same is maintained for exhibition $25.00.
(c) For each carnival, for each twenty-four hour day during which the same is maintained for exhibition $25.00.
(d) For each other show, for each twenty-four hour day during which the same is maintained for exhibition $25.00.
Such fees may be waived by the Manager upon his receiving proof that the motion picture show, circus, carnival or other show is sponsored by a charitable, nonprofit or religious group.
