832.06   APPLICATION.
   (a)   Applications for solicitors, transient dealers and vendors shall be made upon a form generated and provided by the Building and Zoning Officer which shall require, at least, the following information:
      (1)   The name of the applicant and physical description.
      (2)   The home address of the applicant and date of birth.
      (3)   The current name and address of the person by whom the applicant is employed, company name, address, telephone number(s) as well as the name of the immediate superior.
      (4)   The length of applicant's service with such employer.
      (5)   All places of residence of the applicant and all employment during the past year.
      (6)   The nature and character of goods to be sold or services to be furnished by the applicant.
      (7)   The names of other municipalities in which the applicant has recently conducted activities for which a license is herein required in addition to any municipalities which the applicant has been denied a license or had a license revoked with the reasons listed.
      (8)   Whether the applicant has ever been convicted of any crime, and if so, the nature thereof, location and the penalty therefore.
      (9)   A copy of applicant's current driver's license or state identification card.
      (10)   Motor vehicle make, model, year, current registration number and license plate number.
      (11)   Register with R.I.T.A. and complete necessary income tax form(s), if applicable.
   (b)   Applications for solicitors, transient dealers and vendors shall be made at least forty-eight hours before a license is issued.
   (c)   Upon receipt of the application for solicitors, transient dealers and vendors, the Building and Zoning Officer shall cause such investigation of the applicant to be made as he deems necessary for the protection of the public good.
   (d)   If, as a result of the investigation, based on Section 832.06(e)(1) through (e)(10), and other regulations found in this chapter, the application is found to be satisfactory or unsatisfactory, the Building and Zoning Officer shall endorse on the application his approval or disapproval. If the Building and Zoning Officer disapproves the applicant, he shall indicate his reasons for the same and no licensee shall be issued.
   (e)   Such license may be refused to any person or revoked for, but not limited to, the following reason(s):
      (1)   Failure to properly complete the application.
      (2)   Failure to pay the required fee.
      (3)   Failure to truthfully and completely give all information required of the applicant.
      (4)   Conviction of a felony or crime of moral turpitude.
      (5)   Reason to believe that such person is a danger to persons or property within the community.
      (6)   Failure to be in compliance with Section 832.03(b).
      (7)   Fraud, misrepresentation, or false statements made while conducting the activity;
      (8)   Violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or of these Codified Ordinances or of any state or federal law;
      (9)   Conducting the business in an unlawful manner or in such a manner as to constitute a menace to the health, safely, or general welfare of the public;
      (10)   The permittee ceases to possess the qualifications and character required in this chapter for the original registration.
   (f)   The revocation of a permit shall be in addition to any penalty that may be imposed upon the permittee.
