242.06   OUTSIDE EMERGENCY CALLS.
   (a)   The Manager or Chief of Police is hereby authorized, by verbal order, or subject to written regulations, to render police services without a contract when requested by the Columbiana County Sheriff's Department, the Ohio State Highway Patrol or any other municipal or township law enforcement agency located in Columbiana County, Ohio. This authority specifically includes the authority to participate in a County-wide drug task force.
   (b)   Ohio R.C. Chapter 2744 (Political Subdivision Tort Liability), insofar as it applies to the operation of municipal police departments, shall apply to this City and the members of its Police Division when such members are rendering police services pursuant to Ohio R.C. 737.041.
   (c)   Sworn officers of the City, while acting outside the City limits, shall be entitled to participate in any pension fund established by the City to the same extent as while acting within the City. Such members shall be entitled to all the rights set forth in Ohio R.C. Chapter 4123 to the same extent as while performing services within the City.
