§ 7-202. False Alarms.
   1.   Whenever more than three false alarms shall be received from a person or business served by an alarm system, within each calendar year, a charge in an amount to be established from time to time by resolution of Borough Council shall be made. Such charge may be enforced in the manner of a municipal claim. [Ord. 828]
   2.   Whenever more than three false alarms occur within each calendar year, the police and/or fire department, within 10 days from the date of each and every false alarm after the third false alarm, shall notify the person or business from which the false alarm emanated or other person causing said false alarm that a false alarm charge is due and the amount thereof. Such notice shall be in writing and mailed to the business or person causing said false alarm at their last known address by regular mail, postage prepaid. Failure of the police and/or fire department to mail notice of assessment ofthe false alarm charge within 10 days from the occurrence of the false alarm shall preclude the Borough of East McKeesport from assessing a false alarm charge for said false alarm.
   3.   A false alarm charge shall be due and payable at the office of the Police Department 30 days from the date of the mailing of the notice of assessment of the charge.
