139.04  DUTIES AS PROSECUTING ATTORNEY; DESIGNATION OF  ASSISTANT; COMPENSATION.
   The Law Director shall be Prosecuting Attorney of the Municipal Court.  The Law Director may appoint an assistant, who shall be an attorney and counselor at law duly admitted to practice law in this State, to act as the Prosecuting Attorney of the Municipal Court, to serve as Law Director whenever the Law Director is temporarily absent from office and to perform such other duties as required by the Law Director.  The person thus designated shall be subject to the approval of Council.

   The Prosecuting Attorney of the Municipal Court shall prosecute all cases brought before such court, and perform the same duties, as far as they are applicable thereto, as required of the Prosecuting Attorney of Columbiana County.  The Law Director, or the assistant whom he may designate to act as Prosecuting Attorney of the Municipal Court, shall receive for this service such compensation as Council may prescribe and such additional compensation as the Columbiana County Commissioners shall allow.
