The qualifications of firefighters shall be that they shall reside within a fifteen (15) minute response time of the city limits, and (with the exception of previous, verifiable firefighter or medical experience of not less than 6 months) not be over forty five (45) years of age at the time of their appointment, and shall have passed a physical examination by a practicing physician duly authorized to practice in the state of Montana, which examination shall be in writing and filed with the clerk. Such examination shall disclose the ability of such applicant to perform the physical work usually required of firefighters in the performance of their duty. (Ord. 233, 6-7-2005)
