It shall be unlawful for any person to slaughter or kill any cattle, calves, sheep or swine within the city limits or within half a mile of the same, or occupy or use any yard, pen, enclosure or building for the purpose aforesaid without written permission from the council. (Ord. 22, 10-12-1927)
