§ 92.066 PERMIT; APPLICATION; REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUANCE.
   Permits for the public display of fireworks by properly qualified persons or by the city officials, under the direct supervision of experts in the handling of fireworks, may be issued by the City Controller under recommendations of the State Fire Marshal and the Chief of the Fire Department in accordance with the general licensing provisions of Title XI of this code and upon furnishing information as may be required; provided, that the display shall be of a character and so located, discharged, or fired as, in the opinion of the Chief of the Fire Department after proper inspection, shall not be hazardous to property or endanger any person and shall be handled by competent operators to the approval of the Chief of the Fire Department; provided further, that application for permits be made 15 days in advance of the date of display.
