(A) Whenever in this chapter the doing of an act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful or an offense, where no specific penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any such provisions of this chapter shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 30 days, plus any additional state assessments; provided, that such penalty shall not exceed the penalty provided by state law for a similar offense Except where otherwise provided, each day any violation of any provision of this chapter shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. (B) Any person or agent who shall violate the provisions of §§ 150.20 through 150.22 or fail to comply therewith shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day such violation is continued and upon conviction of any such violation shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment for a term not more than 30 days, plus any additional state assessments. (C) The construction, reconstruction, erection, structural alteration or use of any building or other structure, or the use of land or premises in violation of § 150.01 is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor.
(1) In addition to all other remedies provided by law, the city or any property owner or occupant, may institute injunction, mandamus or other appropriate action or proceeding to prevent such unlawful construction, reconstruction, erection, alteration or use, in any court of competent jurisdiction.
(2) Every action or omission designated as a misdemeanor by this division shall be punishable at the discretion of the court to a maximum fine of $850 or 30 days in jail to be enforced by the Building Official or his or her designee.
(3) Where such an act or omission is continued, it is a violation of § 150.01 and, after notice of such violation, each and every day during which such act or omission is continued shall be deemed a separate misdemeanor.
