§ 53.022 WASTEWATER WITH EXCESSIVE BOD5, TSS, OR FOG.
   Users discharging wastewater into the POTW which exhibit none of the characteristics prohibited by this chapter, other than BOD5, TSS, or FOG concentrations in excess of the concentration limits may be subject to the following requirement(s):
   (A)   Preterit the wastewater to below or equal to the BOD5, TSS, and/or FOG concentration limits using methods approved by the IPD; or
   (B)   These wastes may be discharged into the POTW provided the following requirements are met:
      (1)   The user seeks approval from the IPD as required in § 53.021 of this subchapter;
      (2)   The wastewater will not cause damage to the POTW;
      (3)   The wastewater will not impair the wastewater treatment process;
      (4)   The user possesses an industrial wastewater discharge permit, if required by the IPD; and
      (5)   The user is assessed a surcharge fee over and above the published sewer rates, if deemed appropriate by the IPD.
