The following definitions shall apply for purposes of this chapter.
CHIEF OF POLICE. The Chief of Police of the City of Durant or his or her designee.
CITY. The City of Durant.
CITY MANAGER. The City Manager of the City of Durant or his or her designee.
FILM PERMIT. Written authorization from the City of Durant to conduct the filming activity outlined in the permit.
FILMING ACTIVITY. The staging, shooting, filming, videotaping or other similar processes conducted for the making of motion pictures, television programs, commercials, music videos and commercial and nontheatrical film productions that will take place on publicly owned land and within the right-of-way as well as anticipating the need for city services.
NEWS PURPOSES. Filming or videotaping of news events for television news casting by reporters, photographers or camerapersons employed by a newspaper, news service or similar entity where the event is not preplanned, and the film or tape is broadcast within 24 hours of the event, not including magazine or documentary programs.
STUDIO. A fixed place of business where filming activities are regularly conducted upon the premises.
