In the event that the City shall be sued and forced to defend against a person injured by reason of a public sidewalk or pavement being out of repair or by an obstruction caused by the accumulation of ice and snow the property owner owning the property abutting the sidewalk area where the injury occurred shall, in addition to the penalties prescribed in Section 905.12, fully indemnify and save the City harmless from all causes of action caused by the wrongful failure to remove such ice and snow or to repair such sidewalk or pavement.
