905.02 STREET COMMISSIONER.
   (a)    There is created the office and position of Street Commissioner for the City, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, and such appointment shall be confirmed by a majority of the members of Council. Such appointee shall serve at will and pleasure of the Mayor.
   (b)    The Street Commissioner shall be an overseer of the streets, alleys, sidewalks and public ways of the City; he shall supervise repairs and maintenance of all paved and unpaved streets, alleys and public ways, and shall assist and supervise all labor incident thereto; he shall make periodic inspections of the streets, alleys and public ways of the City and make periodic reports to the Mayor, together with recommendations for the repairing, maintaining, altering, opening and vacating of the public streets, alleys and public ways, and shall perform any other duties which might be prescribed by the Mayor and Council relative to the aforementioned.
