The license fee to conduct a theatrical performance of any kind within the City and within one mile of the corporate limits thereof, shall be ten dollars ($10.00) for each week, and no license for any such theatrical performance shall be issued for a period of less than one week. However, in lieu of the fee conducting a theatrical performance as above set out, a theatre, opera house or other permanent place for public shows, may be kept or maintained within the City or within one mile of the corporate limits thereof, for a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for three months; if in all instances where such theatre, opera house or other public place for public shows is conducted outside of, but within one mile of the corporate limits of the City, the license fee shall be the same as if such performance were given within the City.
