(a) Any person, firm, corporation, group, charitable institution, political candidate, political action committee, or any other such political organization, shall remove any and all political signs, posters and advertisement appearing in a public place on any pole, tree or other plant or structure on any street, alley or other public place within ten (10) days after the taking place of any election held within the Municipal boundaries of the City, whether for National, State, County, or Municipal purposes. Failure to comply with the removal of such signs, poster
or advertisements shall be punishable by a fine of ten dollars ($10.00) for each sign, poster or advertisement found not removed within the time limits specified herein.
(b) Notwithstanding any provisions contained herein, political winners in a primary election may leave their material posted until the general election, at which time they shall remove such signs, poster and advertisement within ten (10) days after the taking place of the general election or be subject to the fines and penalties contained herein.
