171.04 ENDORSEMENT OF WARRANT; FAILURE TO APPEAR.
   (a)   The names of those desired as witnesses may in any case be endorsed upon the warrant. In lieu of such endorsement the Mayor may issue his subpoena for any witness.

   (c)   When such witness has been brought before the Municipal Court, he shall be informed on the default of which he is charged, and given an opportunity to show cause, if any he can, why he should not be punished as for a contempt.
   (d)   If, in the opinion of the court, such witness has been guilty of a contempt, he may be punished as for a contempt committed before a magistrate.
