(a) Council hereby adopts the following rank structure for the Police Department:
(1) The Police Department may have as many as one (1) captain at one time.
(2) The Police Department may have as many as four (4) lieutenants at one time.
(3) The Police Department may have as many as four (4) sergeants at one time.
(4) The Police Department may have as many as four (4) corporals at one time.
(5) The Police Department may have as many patrol officers as the Council may authorize from time to time by resolution.

(b) The Police Department is hereby authorized to alter its policies, rules, regulations or other documents to conform with the new rank structure approved hereby.
(c) Any ordinance or resolution of the City of Dunbar, West Virginia inconsistent with the foregoing is hereby repealed to the extent of the inconsistency.
