(a) The purpose of this section is to provide additional and alternative methods and processes to enforce the Municipal Code provisions regarding exterior sanitation and common nuisances related to property located within the City in a fair, speedy and inexpensive manner, and to improve compliance with such provisions.
(b) This section shall be in addition to those methods and processes otherwise contained in the Municipal Code of the City of Dunbar and shall be applied at the discretion of the enforcement official enforcing the provisions of this section.
(c) This section shall apply to exterior sanitation and common nuisance violations contained in the Health and Sanitation Code codified into Part 11, the Zoning Ordinance codified into Part 13, and the Building and Housing Code, incorporated by reference into Part 17, of the Municipal Code of the City of Dunbar, the International Property Maintenance Code as adopted and amended by the City of Dunbar, including, but not limited to:
(1) Nuisances affecting health and safety;
(2) Sanitation and drainage;
(3) Sidewalks in disrepair;
(4) High weeds/grass;
(5) Graffiti;
(6) Exterior garbage, trash, debris accumulation; and
(7) Open storage in residential and business districts;
(d) All planning, zoning, building, and law enforcement officers shall have authority to enforce the provisions of this section and shall be referred to herein collectively as "enforcement officials”. (Ord. 725. Passed 4-6-15.)
