(a) A Bureau of Fire Prevention in the City is hereby established which shall be operated under the supervision of the Fire Chief of the Dunbar Fire Department.
(b) There shall be a head of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, and he shall be known as the Chief Inspector of the Bureau of Fire Prevention. The Chief Inspector shall be the Fire Chief of the Fire Department of the City.
(c) All other inspectors of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be appointed to the position of inspector by the Fire Chief, and the Chief shall appoint as many inspectors as he deems necessary.
(d) The Fire Chief may detail officers and men of the Fire Department to temporary duty as inspectors whenever necessary.
(e) The Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be composed of two members in addition to the Chief Inspector. The two members of the Bureau shall be appointed by the Mayor. Each member of the Bureau shall serve a term of two years from date of appointment by the Mayor. (1978 Code Sec. 10-3)
