(A) An employee shall render at least ten business days prior written notice prior to their last working day with the city.
(B) Department/division heads shall render at least one month's written notice to resign unless waived by the City Manager.
(C) Failure to comply with the provision shall forfeit any unused vacation leave to the employee’s credit, or pay in lieu thereof. Furthermore, absent special circumstances, it may be a bar to future employment with the city and may be part of a reference by the city to prospective employers of the resigning employee at the discretion of the City Manager.
