153.03 PURPOSES.

   The purposes of the County-wide civil defense organization shall be as follows:

   (a)    For creating a master list of civil defense personnel and leaders, together with complete information as to the addresses and telephone numbers of such personnel.

   (b)    For creating a master list of all equipment which can be useful to the civil defense organization in any event, including County, Township or Municipally owned equipment, together with complete information as to the location of the equipment and as to the uses to which it could be put. This master list shall also include complete information as to persons in charge of the equipment or persons who can handle and operate the equipment.

   (c)   For securing mutual aid agreements between the various local defense organizations, as they are defined by statute.

   (d)    For establishing a central office and clearing house for all information concerning defense.

   (e)    For coordinating the work of the various local organizations and their personnel.

   (f)    For the purpose of receiving and disbursing any funds which may be appropriated to the county-wide organization.

   (g)    For the purpose of owning, holding, using and controlling any property purchased for the organization and particularly for the purpose of acquiring standby community systems to take the place of regular systems in any event of emergency.

   (h)    This organization is a part of District Number 4, comprising Dover Township. (Ord. 1822. Passed 7-2-51.)
