925.99 PENALTY.

   (a)   Any user who violates the provisions of Section 925.05 and/or 925.06 shall, for a first offense be fined fifty dollars ($50.00). For a second offense, the fine shall be one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00). For a third and subsequent offense, the fine shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). Each day during which the violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense.

   (b)   Penalty. Any user who is found to have violated any other order of Council or who has failed to comply with any other provisions of this chapter and the orders, rules, regulations and permits issued hereunder, shall be fined. At least a five hundred dollar ($500.00) fine is mandatory under this section. Each day during which the violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense.

   (c)   Costs of Damage. Any user violating any of the provisions of this chapter, or who causes damage or other impairment to the City’s water system shall become liable for any expense, loss or damage caused by the violation. The Director of Public Service may add to the users charges and fees, the costs assessed for any cleaning, repair or replacement work caused by the violation. Refusal to pay the assessed costs shall constitute a violation of this chapter.

   (d)   Falsifying Information. Any person who knowingly makes any false statements, representation or certification in any application, record, report, plan or other document filed or required to be maintained pursuant to this chapter or who falsifies, tampers with or knowingly renders inaccurate any monitoring or metering device or method required under this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
