For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
AUTHORITY. A water resource improvement tax increment finance authority created under this chapter pursuant to Act 94 of PA 2008, as amended.
BOARD or BOARD OF DIRECTORS. The Board of Directors of The Authority, which should serve as its governing body.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER. The mayor or his or her city or administrative manager of a city or supervisor of a township.
CITY. The City of the Village of Douglas.
COUNCIL or CITY COUNCIL. The governing body of the city having legislative powers.
WATER RESOURCE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT or DISTRICT. That portion of the Kalamazoo Lake lying within the city boundaries and parcels of land that are contiguous to its shoreline up to one mile from the shoreline as designated herein designated by this chapter, as now existing or hereafter amended, and within which the Authority shall exercise its powers.
