2-4-5: AGREEMENTS WITH OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS:
The coordinator may, in collaboration with other public agencies within his immediate vicinity, develop or cause to be developed mutual aid arrangements with other political subdivisions within this state for reciprocal disaster response and recovery assistance in case a disaster is too great to be dealt with unassisted. Any mutual aid agreements shall be consistent with the state emergency operations plan and state emergency management program. No such mutual aid agreement shall be effective until it has been approved by the council and by the other political subdivision or subdivisions as provided by law. (Ord. 1647, 2-18-1992; amd.
