9-2-17: GAMBLING 1 :
Except for the provisions in section 5-13-14 of this code:
   (A)   No person shall play for money, or other valuable thing, at any game with cards, dice, checks, or at billiards, or with any other article, instrument or thing whatsoever, which may be used for the purpose of playing or betting upon or winning or losing money, or any other thing or article of value, or shall bet on any game others may be playing.
   (B)   Every clock, tape machine, slot machine or other machine or device for the reception of money on chance or upon the action of which money is staked, hazarded, bet, won or lost is hereby declared a gambling device and shall be subject to seizure, confiscation, and destruction by any member of the police department.
   (C)   No person shall keep a common gaming house, or in any building, booth, yard, garden, boat or float, by him or his agent used and occupied, procure or permit any persons to frequent or to come together to play for money or other valuable thing, at any game, or keep any tables or other apparatus, for the purpose of playing at any game or sport, for money or any other valuable thing, or knowingly rent any such place for such purposes.
