9-1-21: SERVICE INSIGNIA:
   (A)   The years of service of a police officer with the department may be designated upon the left sleeve of each officer's coat as follows:
      1.   For all sergeants, lieutenants and the chief of police: For each five (5) years of service, a one inch (1") wide gold bar.
      2.   For all patrolmen: For each five (5) years of service a one inch (1") wide silver bar.
   (B)   Years of service of a police officer with the department may also be designated upon the front of the officer's uniform as follows:
      1.   For all sergeants, lieutenants and the chief of police: A blue ribbon with one gold star for each five (5) years of service.
      2.   For all patrolmen: A blue ribbon with one silver star for each five (5) years of service. (Ord. 1466, 1-3-1989)
