9-1-18: POLICE TO AID FIRE DEPARTMENT:
Any member of the police department shall aid the fire department in extinguishing fires and in clearing the streets or grounds in the immediate vicinity of fires so that the firemen shall not be hindered or obstructed in the performance of their duties. (1950 Code)
