9-1-17: MAY CALL POSSE COMITATUS:
A police officer may, at any time, call upon any able bodied person eighteen (18) years or older to aid him or her in apprehending a person whom the officer is authorized to apprehend or in preventing the commission by another of any offense. Whoever upon command refuses or knowingly fails reasonably to provide such aid commits a petty offense. (1950 Code; amd. 2020 Code)
