There is hereby established in the city a volunteer fire department to be comprised of not more than twenty-four (24) trained volunteer firefighters. The training and designation of rank of the volunteer fire department shall be under the supervision of the city manager and the fire chief. The volunteer firefighters shall be paid as approved from time to time by the city council. (2020 Code)
