8-1-17: ASSIGNMENT OF HOURS OF DUTY:
The chief of the fire department, under the direction of the city manager, shall arrange and assign the hours of duty of the firemen. (1950 Code)
No fireman shall be required to work a total of more than fifty six (56) hours in any one week. The hours, or schedule of hours, shall be worked out by the chief of the fire department under the direction of the city manager in accordance with necessity and the efficient operation of the fire department. The members of the fire department are hereby granted pay increases based upon their periods of service and upon their base pay in the amount of one percent (1%) per year, with maximum of twenty (20) years. (Ord. 146, 5-22-1956; amd. 2020 Code)
