(A) The Chief of the Fire Department shall, subject to the jurisdiction and control of the City manager, have the management and control of the fire department. All regulations and orders thereof shall be promulgated through the chief of the fire department. (Ord. 2964, 4-20-2015, eff. 5-4-2015)
(B) The chief of the fire department may be removed or discharged by the city manager; provided, that the city manager shall file with the council the reasons therefor and such removal or discharge shall not become effective unless confirmed by a majority vote of the council.
