No person shall within the City, sell, keep or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor, nor may a restaurant permit patrons to bring alcoholic liquor onto the premises of the restaurant for the patron's consumption, without having a valid license so to do, issued in pursuance of the provisions of this chapter. No license shall be issued without the approval of the Local Liquor Control Commissioner, who, by the virtue of his office, is the Mayor of the City 1 . (Ord. 2713, 10-20-2008)
