1-6-3: MEETINGS OF THE VILLAGE BOARD:
   A.   Village Determination: It shall be the duty of said board to meet (as determined by the board at the first regular meeting in May of each odd numbered year, as to the number of meetings per month, and the time and place of such meetings), but in any case, no less often than monthly to inquire into the affairs of the corporation and to make such other ordinances and regulations as may be necessary for the better regulation of the village; provided, that it shall be the duty of the president to call special meetings of the board whenever the nature of the case may require it.
   B.   Regular Meetings: The regular meetings of the village board shall be held each month as set forth in subsection A of this section at the village hall (unless otherwise specified); provided, that when the day (as specified) shall fall on a legal holiday, then the regular meeting shall be held at a time established by the board (day, hour and place to be published as soon after the preceding meeting as possible, but no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting to be held).
   C.   Special Meetings: It shall be the duty of the president to notify every member of the board of trustees to attend any special meeting which may be called and held, by notification to each member, served personally or left at his usual place of abode, stating the object and purpose of the meeting, and no business shall be transacted at the special meeting, except that mentioned in the call or notice therefor. This notice shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area, not less than seventy two (72) hours (when practical) before the date of the special meeting. (1997 Code)
