A. Powers: In addition to the power and authority given to the chief of police under the statutes of this state, he shall see that all ordinances of the village are enforced and that all offenders are properly reported to some proper tribunal for punishment, and he shall have supervision over all other officers and special police as may, from time to time, be appointed.
B. Attend Meetings: The chief of police shall attend all meetings at the request of the president and board of trustees, execute all of its orders and all other warrants or other legal processes required to be executed by him under any ordinance of the village.
C. Records: The chief of police shall keep a record of all persons arrested or committed, showing the time and place of each arrest, the offense charged, and the magistrate before whom such person was tried, the disposition of such case, amount of fine imposed, if any, and the amount collected.
D. Memorandum Book: The chief of police, and each officer of the department, shall always have with him a memorandum book in which he shall enter the names of persons by him taken in charge, together with the names of witnesses which may be necessary in the successful prosecution of such persons, and also all matters which may be important in the trial of a cause.
