§ 4-3-34 BACKFLOW PREVENTION PROGRAM.
   (A)   That a backflow prevention be and is hereby initiated requiring all water taps to have installed and properly maintained backflow prevention devices.
   (B)   That the City Manager or his designee shall give notice to all participating businesses and industries concerning these regulations and shall require such installation, repair, or maintenance in a time table not to exceed thirty (30) days. The same notice shall also be given to all residential property owners that have irrigation meters.
   (C)   That a program of annual device testing be and is hereby established, with a copy of all records of findings, and proper repairs being maintained by the Water and Sewer Department. All devices shall also be inspected and tested upon installation.
   (D)   That the city hereby establishes a fee of sixty dollars ($60) for all devices tested to conduct these examinations.
   (E)   Failure to comply with the regulations concerning installation and repair of a backflow device shall result in the discontinuance of water to the customer until proper installation or repair is made.
