Building Permit Water Charge
A flat water service charge of $75 for each residential building and a flat water service charge of $300 for each commercial or industrial building shall be paid to the village for each 3-month period while the building is under construction and before the permanent water meter is installed to cover the anticipated water use in the building prior to the installation of the permanent water meter. The first 3-month period water charge shall be due and payable upon the issuance of the building permit. All building permit water charges shall be paid in full prior to the issuance of an occupancy permit for the building. If, in the opinion of the Building Inspector, the use of water during the construction period may be excessive, the Building Inspector may require the installation, at the owner’s expense, of a temporary outside meter to measure water used and to be paid for at the regular metered water rates.

A re-inspection fee of $25 will be imposed for the first re-inspection, and $50 for any additional re-inspections if corrections were not made properly at the time of the first re-inspection. All re-inspection fees must be paid in full before a certificate of occupancy will be issued.
*One inspection fee collected for Rough Electric, Rough HVAC and Rough Framing and one inspection fee collected for Final Electric, Final HVAC and Final Building. If called for separately, a $25 additional inspection fee shall be charged for each respectively.
