If property, for which an application to subdivide has been presented, abuts on or contains an existing public street which has width of pavement less than required by this chapter, the subdivider shall be required to dedicate additional land sufficient to bring roadway widths up to the minimum standards of this chapter, before the approval of the property for resubdivision.
