§ 30.05 ALTERNATIVE ORGANIZATION OF COUNTY BOARD WITHOUT COMMITTEES.
   In the absence of appointing members to committees, commissions, boards or other organizational structures of the Board following the procedures and committee structure specified in § 30.02 of this chapter or by majority vote of the current members of the Board, the Board may organize without the committees, commission, boards and other organizational structures as specified in § 30.02. Under this option, the following alternative interpretations are to be applied to the various sections, subsections and chapter of the DeWitt County Code.
   (A)   Any and all powers, responsibilities, authorities, functions or other references specified in the various sections of the DeWitt County Code for any committee, commission, board or other organizational entity of the Board shall be vested solely with and applied to the Board.
   (B)   Any and all power, responsibilities, authorities, functions or other references to a chairman, chairwoman, chairperson or other head of a committee, commission, board or other organization entity of the Board shall be vested to the County Board Chairperson or his or her designee.
   (C)   The provisions of divisions (A) and (B) shall not preclude the Chairperson of the Board from appointing ad hoc committees, commissions, boards or other organization entities from time to time as deemed appropriate by the Chairperson with the advice and consent of the majority of the Board. Any such appointments shall be made by the Chairperson with the advice and consent of the majority of the Board.
   (D)   This section shall not apply to committees, commissions, boards or other organizational entities that are not solely composed of members of the Board.
