§ 70.01 IMPOSING COSTS FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE STATE VEHICLE CODE AND SIMILAR MUNICIPAL ORDINANCES.
   (A)   (1)   The County Board hereby imposes, pursuant to state law, a fee of $10 to be added to all fines imposed for violations of the State Vehicle Code, being ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, or violations of similar provisions committed under county or municipal ordinances.
      (2)   The County Treasurer shall maintain a separate account for receipt of the fee. Pursuant to the statutes heretofore mentioned, the proceeds from the fee shall be used to finance the court system of the county.
   (B)   The County Board here imposes, pursuant to state law, a fee of $30 to be added to all fines imposed for violation of § 11-501 of the State Vehicle Code or violation of a similar provision of a county or municipal ordinance.
   (C)   The County Board hereby imposes, pursuant to Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 34, para. 429.27, under § 5-9-1 of the Unified Code of Corrections, being ILCS Ch. 730, Act 5, the following fees:
      (1)   For a felony: $50;
      (2)   For a class A misdemeanor: $25;
      (3)   For a class B or class C misdemeanor: $15;
      (4)   For a petty offense: $15;
      (5)   For a business offense: $25; and
      (6)   In all civil cases: $5.
   (D)   (1)   For second and subsequent violations of ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5 § 11-501(j) of the State Vehicle Code or violations of similar provisions contained in county or municipal ordinances, a fee of $750 shall be collected, this fee to be placed in the county’s General Fund to be used to finance education programs related to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
      (2)   The proceeds for all fees are to be used to finance the court system in the county. The County Treasurer shall maintain a separate account for the receipt of the fees.
      (3)   Expenditures from the account are to be authorized by the Chief Circuit Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, the resident Circuit Judge of the County and the Chairperson of the County Board, as trustees of the Fund.
