Ten days’ notice of any hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the city or by posting thereof in three public places in the city. If the last-mentioned notice be published or given as herein required, no irregularity or failure to mail notices shall invalidate the proceedings. The notices to be published, posted, and mailed giving notice of any hearing required herein may be in the following form:
LEGAL NOTICE
“TO: (Record Owner) of the premises known and described as _______________________. You are hereby notified that (described building) on the premises above mentioned has been identified and reported to the City Council as a dangerous building. The City Council has scheduled a public hearing on that issue on the _____________ day of ____, 20___ at _______. If the City Council determines that the building is dangerous, it will have the power to order the building removed and abated, or prescribe what acts or things must be done to render it safe. All costs incurred will be borne by the owner.
You have a right to appear and be heard at this hearing.”
