20.01 APPOINTMENT AND COMPENSATION.
   The Council shall appoint by majority vote a City Attorney. The City Attorney shall hold office until the end of the term of the City Council which made the appointment or until a successor has been appointed and qualified. The City Council may employ another attorney at law to represent the City in place of or in addition to the City Attorney. The City Attorney shall receive such compensation as may be allowed by motion of the City Council upon presentation of a statement thereof.
